Constitution Club of St. Joseph’s College of Law is organising Consti-Q- National Level Quiz Competition on 25 and 28 February 2024. The last date of registration is February 18.
About the Organiser
St. Joseph’s College of Law is approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI), New Delhi and affiliated to Karnataka State Law University, Hubbali. St. Joseph’s College of Law has forayed into the area of imparting legal education in the academic year 2017-2018.It is the first-ever Jesuit Law College in South Asia.
The Jesuits also run other premier institutions in India, like Loyola College, Chennai, St. Xavier’s College, Calcutta and St. Xavier’s College Mumbai. The Institution is driven by the ideology of faith and labour that is resonated in the motto of the College “FIDE ET LABORE”.
About the Quiz
Consti-Q is a national-level quiz competition organised by SJIM in collaboration with SJCL. The quiz aims to encourage undergraduate and graduate students from all disciplines to engage with the Indian Constitution, law, politics, history and current affairs. The event will be conducted online on Google Meet/Zoom.
Eligibility
Individual students pursuing any undergraduate or post-graduate courses from any recognised university in India are eligible to participate. MPhil/ PhD scholars shall not be permitted to participate. Participants are requested to note that Consti-Q is not a team event.
Format of the Quiz
The quiz is structured into two rounds and is on an individual basis and not as a team.
Round 1 (Preliminary)
The first round would be a preliminary round structured in the form of Multiple Choice Questions. The focus of the quiz at the stage would be narrower, exploring only certain key aspects of the Constitution and India. The targeted aspects that would be covered at this stage would be the Preamble of the Indian Constitution, Citizenship, and Fundamental Rights provisions and the political climate of India.
There would be a total of 50 questions, which would be sent to the students as a Google form during the stipulated date and time. The participants will have to submit the same within 15 minutes after which the Google form will stop accepting responses. The responses received will be tabulated, and the top 6 (Six) scorers will get to participate in the final round.
The tentative date for the preliminary round is on 25th February 2024 (Sunday).
Round 2 (Finals)
The second (finals) round of the event would be a live virtual quiz which would happen on Zoom/Google Meet. The ambit of the final round would be broad-based and would include questions spanning disciplinary boundaries – from politics and law to history and contemporary affairs.
The participants are required to have an understanding of The Constitution of India and Indian affairs as well as current world affairs. The tentative date for the finals will be on 28th February 2024 (Wednesday).

Fee
There is no registration fee for the event.
Prizes
The winners will be awarded cash prizes and e-certificates.
